Anthony Morrow
Non-executive director
Describe your role at Corbel Partners.
My role as a non-executive director is to support and challenge the board in setting the strategy and the delivery of that strategy. Paul and David have big plans for the business and recognise that the next stage for the business will be helped if they bring independent support into the business. That’s what I’m here to do!
What’s your background, and how did these experiences lead you to Corbel Partners?
I’ve been involved in financial services for over 20 years, initially as a consultant for KPMG and Deloitte, then as a founding partner of Tatton Asset Management plc.
In 2016, I set up OpenMoney, a digital finance business aimed at using technology to provide financial advice to those without much money. I am also an investor in several fintech companies, as well as holding non-executive director roles for companies outside of sector.
I’ve known Paul and David for almost 15 years, and have always been impressed with their approach to business even in challenging times. I was extremely proud to be asked by them to be involved.
In your view, what does the future look like for Corbel Partners?
Many of the current networks have adopted a very lazy approach which includes high fees and restricted advice around products. Corbel are committed to maintaining independence, and investing in operations and technology. That means both advisers and customers get to enjoy the very latest in tools to help provide and receive quality financial advice.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Three teenage children and a two-year-old dog pretty much fill any spare time I have. Other favourites include tennis, watching Manchester City, and holidays. The number of unread books on my bookshelf means I can’t include reading!
